Debt Adviser - Brixton Advice Centre

Brixton Advice Centre is a dynamic, independent advice centre based in London. We provide specialist services in Housing, Welfare Benefits and Debt. We hold The Law Society’s Lexcel Excellence in Legal Practice Management standard. We also provide a range of other generalist, outreach and project services

What we are looking for

We are seeking a full-time specialist Debt Adviser to provide casework services to our client groups from our main site on Railton Road, Brixton. You will join our friendly and hard-working team to ensure the ongoing successful delivery of our specialist services. The post is funded through Debt Free London (formerly Capitalise), a London-wide partnership of organisations that provide free debt advice to Londoners who are experiencing or at risk of financial exclusion and debt.

Salary: £32,000 per annum

Funded by the Single Finance Guidance Body (SFGB), perviously the Money Advice Service (MAS), Toynbee Hall is the lead partner of a London-wide free face-to-face debt advice partnership which supports over 23,000 Londoners with their debt and money problems each year. Our trained and accredited advisors are based across 26 partner organisations and help with all types of money worries from rent and council tax arrears to credit card and catalogue debt.
